He viajado mucho a USA con el proposito de tomar un curso de Ingles, el cual hice en la ciudad de San Francisco, California, durante un mes y medio, y tambien para enseñar el idioma Español en un importante colegio privado en Vail, Colorado, logrando asi enriquecer mi C.V. con un toque de experiencia internacional.

I did a lot of traveling into U.S. with the purpose of taking an English course which I did in San Francisco City, California, during one month and a half, and also to teach Spanish language at a very important community college in Vail, Colorado, in order to enrich my Resume with international work experience.

My trip to Costa Rica

I traveled to Costa Rica at the end of June 2000, a wonderful country full of rain forest national parks, volcanoes and tropical sand beaches. How did I decide to go to Costa Rica? It really was always on my mind going back to the Caribbean since I love going on vacation to the Tropic. But why Costa Rica? This is the story...
During the 1999/2000 winter season of Vail, Colorado, I was working at a ski resort restaurant and there I met Carlos, a very nice guy from Costa Rica, a co-worker who befriended me and was a big fan of "Soda Stereo" and "Spinetta".

At the end of the winter season he invited me to visit San Jose staying at his house near downtown. That sounded great!!

San Jose is a very small city, with big markets and slow-paced inhabitants, a few museums, universities and rainy days. Then the time had come to go to the beach!!
My friend Carlos recommended me "Tamarindo" and "Flamingo" I chose the first one.
I stayed at a nice hotel in front of the beach enjoying warm green clear waters, great tall palm trees and white sandy seasides.
After sunbathing at the beach during seven days I finally had gotten tanned!!

San Francisco - el mejor escenario para estudiar Ingles... San Francisco - the best setting to study English...

Mi viaje a San Francisco, en 1999, fue fantastico. Fue un viaje de estudios ya que queria aprender ingles. Tome un curso de un mes y medio y vivi en una casa de familia.
Me gusto mucho la ciudad, muy particular con sus empinadas colinas y sus casas de estilo victoriano. Tambien me impresiono la Prision de Alcatraz y quede maravillada ante el puente del Golden Gate. Es una ciudad muy cosmopolita y como tal ofrece restaurantes para todos los gustos y tiene barrios habitados por hippies, gays, negros, italianos, chinos.
En la escuela conoci a gente de distintas nacionalidades, sobre todo japoneses, mexicanos, italianos, brasileños.
Sausalito es muy bonito y pintoresco, con sus casitas en las laderas de las montañas. Y no podia dejar de ver un partido de basket en Oakland, donde jugaban San Antonio Spurs contra los Golden Warriors. El partido en si fue todo un show, el enorme estadio, el baile de las porristas en los intervalos, todo muy colorido.
Fisherman `s Wharf es un paseo a lo largo de los muelles donde hay restaurantes frente a la marina muy lindos. Por esto para mi San Francisco es una ciudad sin igual, unica.

My trip to San Francisco, in 1999, was fantastic. It was a studies trip since I wanted to learn English. I took a one month and a half course and lived with a family. I liked the city very much, with its steep hills and Victorian style houses, the impressive Alcatraz Prison and the fabulous Golden Gate Bridge. It is a very cosmopolitan city and offers a great variety of restaurants and neighbourhoods inhabited by hippies, blacks, gays, Italians, Chinese. I met a lot of people at the school, from Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Italy. Sausalito is very pretty with its houses nestled on the hillsides. Of course, I could not miss a basketball game in Oakland with San Antonio Spurs against the Golden Warriors. The game itself was a show, the huge stadium, the cheerleaders, all very colorful. Another place is Fisherman`s Wharf with its restaurants overlooking the marina. Because of this for me San Francisco is a unique city.

Vail - the paradise (english and spanish)

Vail is a beautiful town where I lived for 4 years, from 1999 till 2004. Surrounded by magnificent mountains, the Rockies, this ski resort is located in Colorado State. In wintertime it snows a lot and everything turns white in just minutes.
I went to Vail to work at a 5 star mountain resort restaurant. I served tables while improving my English. I also taught Spanish in a private college to American students and some Europeans. It was a fantastic experience, unforgettable.
During the short summer, when the snow melts and everything turns green, I used to enjoy riding a bike o hiking up the mountains as well as sitting down at the banks of a stream to hear the whispering sound of the waters.
After work, I used to go down the mountain skiing. It was really good fun, a real adventure.

Vail es un hermoso lugar donde vivi 4 años, de 1999 a 2004. Rodeado de majestuosas montañas, las Rocosas, este pueblo esta ubicado en el estado de Colorado. En invierno nieva muchisimo y todo se vuelve blanco en solo minutos.
Viaje a Vail a trabajar en el restaurante de un hotel de 5 estrellas ubicado al pie de las montañas. Atendia las mesas mientras mejoraba mi ingles. Tambien fui profesora de idioma español en un colegio en el cual mis alumnos eran mayormente estadounidenses y una minoria europeos. Fue una experiencia fantastica, inolvidable. Durante el corto verano, cuando la nieve se derrite y el paisaje se torna verde, disfrutaba andar en bicicleta, hacer largas caminatas subiendo a la montaña,
y sentarme a orillas de un arroyo para escuchar el agua correr.
Despues del trabajo, en un restaurante arriba de la montaña, solia bajar esquiando casi todos los dias. Era algo muy divertido, toda una aventura.
